Court Date: November 8th
In just a few short weeks, Degenesh (Sophia) and Yared (Levi) will be declared our children, if the Lord allows. This coming Monday the mothers will terminate their rights. My heart aches for them. Abayinesh and Chaltu, you are brave women who have chosen life for your children through adoption. May God give you peace in your… Continue reading Court Date: November 8th
Love at First Sight
One beautiful perk of adoption is getting a high-tech "ultrasound" of sorts. Last night we received photos of our sweet children. They are beautiful! Sophia Belle's birthday was June 26, 2010. Levi Cruz's birthday was November 30, 2009. If you would like to see them, send me an email: rebeccacedillo@gmail.com. I can give you a… Continue reading Love at First Sight

Firsts in the Mail!
We received a care package from our adoption agency, CCI, with our babies' first: stuffed animal, adoption picture book, and t-shirt. I also received my first ever Mother's Day card! Thank you, Cody and Kimberly! You made my month!
Just for Fun!
The picture we DIDN'T include in our paperwork for the Ethiopian courts. Weren't sure if they'd understand our sense of humor. But you do, so here ya go!
Wherever you are…God knows you.
Our paperwork is currently in Ethiopia. It's possible that we will get referrals for our children in the next few weeks, although it's a slim chance at this time. Wherever our babies are, in their mothers' wombs or in an orphanage, the Lord will bring them to us in His time. He knows them. He is their Creator.
Preparing a Place
"In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you many be also."
Two Weeks
Our social worker, Sue, unexpectedly emailed us on Sunday, asking us to scan our dossier immediately. She left Monday with our dossier in hand (after we "waged war for our children's souls"-as Dom put it). It took a total of 6 hours in all (Sunday and Monday morning) to get the dossier to her. She… Continue reading Two Weeks
